I met Namrata when I was in 10th in K.V Fort William, Kolkata. She was a genius in solving equations or say pro in Maths, looking at her intelligence I used to think that she will become a scientist or do probably something good in Maths. Then she left my school and after almost 6 years I got in touch with her through Facebook. In these years all I remembered was her curly hair and glasses.
To my surprise, Namrata did here B.com, Advanced diploma in animation and filmmaking, who is now working as a UI Designer. Slowly I discovered that she is a baker by choice who loves to excel in kitchen chemistry while trying out galaxy yogurt ice cream or lime coconut impossible pie. I admire her for her creative mind, the kind of efforts she puts in making a dish and clicking pictures, then adding her touch in the photographs and uploading it on her Instagram page The Hungry Indian Baker as well as on her blog.
She is the second member of my #WomenInMyCircle series whom I am introducing here on my blog. Here’s the interview with her:
How would you describe yourself to my audience:
I am Namrata, a UI Designer by profession, and a baker at heart 🙂
How did you start this page?
I started blogging my bakes around 2 years back as a hobby, and have been doing it ever since. I just stopped hoping & started working towards my passion, every single day. And stayed committed to it.
What made you start this? What was the turning point?
I wanted to work with a sincere purpose. I initially started it as a combination of food explorations and baking once in a while, but then a friend of mine showed interest and pushed me to do it on a regular basis. The turning point has been the confidence my friends show in me, that pushed me to take it this far.
How can we reach out to you for a baking class or to place orders?
People in Vijayawada can reach out to me through my Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/thehungryindianbaker/), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/hungrybaker/) handles.
A piece of advice you would like to give to other.
