Summers are here and in this scorching heat, I prefer wearing ethnic pieces to work over western. Ethnic pieces are comfortable and basis color, print and fit you can look stylish in them like you look in western wear.

I have been looking for good cotton work wear kurtas and suits and as per my preference I have listed down 5 brands from which you can buy work wear kurtis:

• Lakshita: yes you heard it right its Lakshita! and trust me I visited this store after 7 years because last time they had all jazzy stuff and georgette fabric in their store. This time to my surprise they have a pretty good collection. Basis your taste you can find straight fit kurta, suits, Anarkali, light work or cotton patch pieces here. you can pick linen pants, bottom wear and cotton kurtas from here. They are a bit pricier than others but do visit them once.

• Libas: This brand is available on Myntra, Jabong, and other e-commerce portals. they have trendy pieces which are adorned by Indian celebs also. You can check out their ethnic maxi dresses with a shrug and also palazzo set.

• W: most of you already know this brand. W makes more elegant, stylish pieces. The color combination is good and they mostly have straight fit kurtas

• FabIndia or Jaypore: if you love handcrafted products then you must explore stores of FabIndia or Jaypore. If you know what ajrakh, shibori, bagru prints and mul cotton are then you can consider buying from these brands. In fact, you can also explore Anokhi, The Loom, etc.

• Kessawear: I found this Instagram page and their designs are pretty amazing. They have very subtle colors and stylish pieces plus the range is easy on the pocket.
