While working on an indo-western fusion look-book, I created one look which can be worn to a cocktail party. Whenever I receive an invitation for a cocktail party, I straightaway explore my wardrobe and get nothing to wear. I guess every girl keep on questioning, “what and how to dress for a cocktail party”. This season try to go for indo-western look for cocktail parties.
Cocktail parties call for a casual gathering where you get to eat, drink and dance more. So always choose a light fabric in which you can comfortably dance. Well this time, I picked up pieces from my wardrobe and thought to create a trendy look for the cocktail party and it does turn out so well. I picked up a heavy dupatta and paired it with my black denim and 3/4th sleeves black top to create an indo-western look. check here to see what I wore to friend’s engagement.
To my black outfit, I draped this dupatta like a saree. Dupatta added a desi touch to my western outfit thus making it indo-western. Always pick the longer one as you have to create a plate or 2 in the front and longer pallu will look good.
Hairstyle:
I created a side-bun by twisting my hair and tucking them using u-pins.
Make-up:
I used Maybelline Fit me shade 322 on the face and did contouring using Kiss-beauty palette. I did rose-gold look on the eyes, filled up inner are with golden shade and outer with red and blended them perfectly. Used Maybelline eye -liner and for lips I choose NYX Full throttle
Jewelry:
I opted for kundan earrings and bangles. Well, you can go for danglers or you can either pick a trendy neck piece depending on your face shape.
Carry a matching clutch which compliments your outfit and go for heels depending on the occasion and time. I prefer to go for flats as I had a knee surgery in the past and I am still not allowed to wear that.
Hope you enjoyed this look!
