I am back with another review and this is from one of my favorite brand. Today, I’m going to review the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution that I had purchased around a month ago. I have little bit of darkness around my chin area and my sister has hyper pigmentation around her eyes. So we thought of trying this out.
As I am highly impressed by its midnight recovery concentrate so I thought of trying this out too. Kiehl’s gives you dermatologist solutions.
Claims: Clinically demonstrated to rapidly correct dark spots and clarify skin tone for deep visible correction. Silicone-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free. No colorants and no optical diffusers.
Directions: Apply morning and night, before your moisturizer. May also be used as a spot treatment or over entire face. May also be used to correct visible discolorations on hands, neck and chest.
Price: 4450 INR.

My Experience with Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution:
The Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution is packed in a glass bottle with a dropper lid. This bottle needs to be handled with care. The product is a clear liquid with a little gel-like consistency. It contains Activated C and I’m guessing that is Vitamin C – great for lightening scars.
I use exactly 2 drops, spread it on my fingers and gently pat the product into my skin. This helps my skin absorb the product better. It takes few seconds for the product to get absorbed. Then followed by Kiehl’s day/night serum and Kiehl’s moisturizing cream.
I started noticing the result in the second week. My discoloration around the chin has improved. Now my skin texture is smooth and there’s no unevenness on the face.
But my sister did not notice any change on her hyper-pigmentation areas. I feel it can work and fix the discoloration but hyper-pigmentation requires something different.
This product did not cause any skin break outs, it did not irritate my skin and it did not cause any sort of bad reaction. I’ve also read that it is suitable for all skin types. I’m really enjoying using this in my skin care routine, especially with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate – I feel like they work better together. ?

- A little goes for the longest time.
- Dries clear to use under other products.
- It is silicone-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free (mentioned on packaging)
Cons of Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution:
- Price – It still hurts to spend so much but remember you are investing in something great.
- Glass bottle can easily break if we’re not careful.
- Not travel friendly.
- Limited availability in India.
Kiehl’s offers try-n-buy facility so if you around their store then you can certainly ask for the samples and try that out first.
Trying samples first would be a smart move because one product can’t work for everyone.
Rating: I rate this product a 3/ 5. It did not solve hyper-pigmentation.
