Look At the City from My Eyes
“The best thing to do in Noida is to get back to Delhi,”- that’s exactly what my friends said when they learned that I was going to shift base to Noida due to a new job.
Almost everybody around me was rather unhappy about my move. The pessimism regarding this famously infamous city lingered hard around all my loved ones, and I must say, it did rub off a bit on me initially as well. But it all changed once I began to live here, and now I know that this place, it is undisputedly one of the best places to stay in NCR!
Skeptics all around can disagree to their heart’s content, but I can give you 5 great reasons why Noida is an amazing city to live in:
- Noida Aka Not A Boring Industrial Area
Noida stands for New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, and no, it’s not all industries and factories as the name suggests. On the contrary, there are lots of fun getaways within the city.
Noida has one of the best malls in India; The Great India Place is my favorite spot to shop till I drop. Noida also has amazing restaurants and pubs where you can chill out with your friends on the weekends over some great food. If you live here, then you know that the place to be in your free time is the sector 18 market. A true blue Noidaite knows what I mean!
The Okhla Bird Sanctuary is any nature lover’s dream, and don’t you forget Worlds of Wonder- this amusement park totally makes me want to be a kid again! Then there’s the lavishly beautiful ISKCON temple! I’m not any big-time prayer enthusiast, but the breathtaking architecture is a must-see.
- The Truth About Security
No offense but, irrespective of what part of the world you’re in, the possibility of crime is inevitable. Having said that, those who feel Noida is unsafe only take into account the outskirts of the city. I moved into a well-gated housing society in a good locality, and trust me; safety is not much of a concern for me. Good connectivity within the city and to Delhi, adequate public transport facilities and metro connectivity is a plus.
- More Savings At The Month’s End
Compared to Gurugram and Delhi, the lifestyle here doesn’t really burn your pocket. A good apartment in a safe locality is far cheaper here. What’s better, you can even get your home essentials like furniture/appliances on rent like I did.
There are many online marketplaces like rentomojo.com, that lets you #SmartlyOwn house furnishings without actually paying up big bucks. I can also exchange the bought stuff for something better that catches my eye in their catalogue! Try it; it’s both convenient and cheap.
- Better Opportunities
Be it jobs or housing, the options here are many. Noida is home to some of the best brands’ offices, hence, job-hunting is easier. The roads are wide, green on the sides, well marked and well kept, so commuting isn’t an issue as well.
- Shifting Addresses Is Comfortable Due to Affordability and Availability
Opt for #SubscriptionLifestyle, so that a house move isn’t much of a trouble. Like I said before, don’t buy but rent. This way you can just return the products when you no longer need them and get a whole new set that complements your new flat! A good furniture rental company will even offer regular maintenance checks and insurance cover!
Unlike many other metros, Noida is a well-planned city with a systematically laid out infrastructure. There is also less traffic, congestion, and pollution. If you value some peace and quiet, then the lesser-populated Noida is the best option for you. Honestly, I love this city and I will be staying here longer than anyone expected!
