New Outlet Review: Night Tales, Noida

night tales noida

The Thursday evening had taken an interesting turn as we were on our way back and we were discussing a menu of assorted dumplings that was being offered by a newly opened joint at Sec110, Noida. We tried contacting the food joint but they didn’t respond so we thought of trying out a newly opened joint “Night Tales” on the Zomato app. We went ahead and ordered authentic Indian cuisine. Therefore the final order consisted of Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, Afghani Chicken and Kadhai Chicken.night tales food reviewHyderabadi Chicken Biryani:

This Biryani was cooked well; the rice was full of flavor borrowing it in the right amount from the chicken gravy. Garnished well with fried onions and green parsley it was welcoming you with arms wide open.

Afghani Chicken

This dish was my personal favorite. The chicken pieces were cooked to perfection with the right amount of creaminess added to it. What I liked best about the dish was the marinade. It had the perfect blend of the spices. Where in most cases the hung curd overpowers the flavor, in this case, the hung curd or yogurt cheese as some prefer calling it was part of the base and infused well will garlic & ginger along with the right amount of cashew paste. The tanginess of lemon was just right to balance the overall sweetness of the other ingredients.

Kadhai Chicken

This dish was a complete surprise. In most cases you would find the gravy of all the chicken dishes tasting similar and difficult to decipher between a kadhai chicken or tikka masala, this one came across as one of the most authentic kadhai chicken I had had in a long time. The use of whole spices infused in the rich onion and tomato gravy gave the dish a distinct taste. The chicken pieces were whole (thankfully not boneless ) and infused with the mouthwatering gravy. Even if you gave the chicken pieces amiss, you would love the gravy with hot Roti or naan or rice.

The portion size was good enough and the main reason I would rate this restaurant food good is simply for the fact that my otherwise picky and finicky eating 5 years old actually enjoyed the food and did not complain about the spices. Unlike her mother, she has picked up the taste for fine cooking at an early age and generally shies away from trying outside food. But this one was a definite change.

Overall I would suggest a must try for the Mughlai cuisine offered by Night Tales.
