I am a die-hard fan of Pond’s Light Moisturizer and this time I thought of trying out a new product; Himalaya nourishing skin cream. Although I bought it in winters along with Himalaya cocoa butter intensive lotion I started using Himalaya nourishing cream from July onwards. So let’s see how this product has performed on my skin.
What the product look like:
Almost similar to the packaging of Ponds cream this also comes in a flat tub having a screw lid, making it easier to carry in the bag. The ingredient list is mentioned in the back. The texture is smooth and it’s very easy to apply.
What product claims:
The product description reads that Himalaya’s nourishing skin cream is a light, non-greasy, daily-use cream, which provides you all day moisturizing, nourishment, and protection. The cream is blended with the extracts of aloe vera, winter cherry, and Indian kino tree which protect your skin from pollution and dry weather, providing nourishment and moisture.
Pros:
- Packaging is nice
- Affordable, you can get it online on a discount also
- Doesn’t have a strong smell
- It is highly moisturizing in fact it works better than cocoa intensive body lotion
Cons
- It takes time to get absorbed in the skin
- Won’t work for combination skin in this weather
- Better for use in winters only
Price:
Rs. 125 for 100 ml
My Take:
I am using this cream as a body lotion and that too as a replacement for my stretch marks cream. And it does provide a good level of moisture and keeps my belly moist for good 3-4 hours. I won’t recommend using this cream for face. Use it only if you have dry skin, it might work good for your dry skin but one should avoid using this in humid weather.
I recommend using Ponds moisturizer over this one.
